Little Red Riding Hood In The Wolf’s Belly

It burns!
It burns
too dark

too tight it hurts Grandmother where are you
oh God
I'm sorry
I'm sorry
I'm sorry…

Prehistoric Child

I read a history book once,
Of a child twenty thousand years ago,
Walking side by side with his hound.
The only thing left is their short journey.

Their footprints etched into the earth,
Immortalised forever,
Covered in sooth,
A single torch their guiding light.

How scared he must have been,
In the dark of night.
Did he feel a little braver,
With his loyal hound by his side?

This little child,
Lost to time.
Save for his footprints,
And that of his hound's.
